    The Alisa Flatow Memorial Scholarship is a program of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater MetroWest. 

    The scholarship is open to young women who:

    • graduate high school by June 2025
    • reside or attend school in the Greater MetroWest New Jersey catchment area
    • intend to learn in a full-time program of religious study in Israel from August 2025 through June 2026. Acceptance to a program is not required in order to apply.

    Completed applications are due by Tuesday, February 11, 2025.

    Recommendation forms are due by Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

    *Please SAVE and do not submit until you've reached out to alert your references that they will be receiving a request for information. Once you submit Part 1 they will receive an automatic notification and further instructions.

    You may continue to the second part of the application after you have submitted names and emails for your reference forms.

    • Reference Letter Requirements

    • The first reference letter should be from a Day School Principal or Israel Guidance Counselor, Synagogue Rabbi or Youth Director, Jewish Camp Educator (administrative level), or the director of another Jewish Communal Initiative who has knowledge of your attachments to Jewish life and learning.


    • A second reference letter should be from a teacher of Jewish studies who has knowledge of your attachments to Jewish life and learning. (For those not currently enrolled in a regular study program, you may select from any of the other options offered above or submit a character reference.)


    • You may include a character reference from any individual who is not related to you.
